Functionality

You use this function module to execute the Calculate Claim Surrender business transaction. The function module simulates the effect of a definable number of onerous actual and/or simulated claims. To do this, it compares the premium development of claim-free and claimed history.

You can calculate the claim surrender for the chosen effective date or for the current policy version (effective date is transferred empty). You can execute the business transaction more than once within the policy.

  • The result of the claim surrender calculation:
  • Claim surrender (parameter ET_CLAIMSU_RESULT)

  • Simulated bonus-malus history (parameter ET_CLPART_RESULT)

  • The current number of the inquiry application (parameter EV_APPLNR_CD) if the application is saved (IF_SAVE = X).

Example

Notes

  • The function module creates the application using the Inquiry business process. This ensures that lock problems cannot occur with any existing change applications.
  • The function module saves the data in the database (COMMIT), as long as you do not call it in simulation mode.
  • The function module can only be called synchronously. It does not return any exceptions.
