Functionality

This function module analyzes the data of the customer archiving object and flags the data for archiving according to the customizing information that is received in the import parameter.

It also flags the records for deletion that were previously archived. These records will have the archived date populated in the SLA table.

The function module compiles and returns this information as a parameter. It also returns the number of records that are flagged for archiving and the number of records that are flagged for deletion.

For each record that is considered for archiving, a BAdI is called for extra checks that may lead the data not to be archived.

The actual update of the tables will only be done if the field AFX_GLOBAL_CUST-ARMODE is P - Productive.

Main Parameters:

I_STR_GLOBAL_CUST: Global customizing information of the object

E_ARCHIVABLE_NUMBER: Number of records that are flagged for archiving

E_DELETE_NUMBER: Number of records that are flagged for deletion
