Functionality

When you create a claim bundle for multiple contracts, this function module reads the required data (policy snapshot), including the data of the active policies and coverages of a policyholder or an insured person from SAP Policy Management (FS-PM). When you enter a policyholder and an insurerd person, the system returns only contracts that affect both.

This function module is called remotely from the FS-CM system when you create a claim bundle under Insurance -> Claims Management -> Bundle -> Multiple Contract Handling -> ICLEMC01 - Create. Based on the data that is read with the function module, the cases are created in your claim bundle.

The software component of the function module is FSPM and the package is /PM0/ABT_CM.

The function module has the following parameters:

  • IV_POLICY_HOLDER
    Policyholder

  • IV_INSURED
    Insured Person

  • IT_POLICY_DETAILS
    Contract Details

  • Export
  • ET_POLICY_DETAILS

Note
This information was read from the same claim bundle in a previous call. It is passed on so that only new contracts are read, which improves performance.

Example

A policyholder has a contract with life insurance and a contract with accident insurance. Both contracts provide benefit for accidental death. In the event of an incident, the claim should take into account the death benefit from both contracts for the insured person.
