Functionality

This function module enables you to reverse a policy, a single contract, or multiple contracts of a policy by specifying different parameters. By setting various indicators, you can do the following:

  • Schedule the reversal
  • Simulate the scheduling of the reversal
  • Save the application
    In this scenario, you must then either release or refuse the application in order to schedule the BTS date.
  • Release the application so that the corresponding BTS date is automatically scheduled

You can only ever choose one of the indicators for Release, Save, or Simulate.

If you set the indicator for the reversal notification, the application is loaded the same way as in dialog mode, the check of reversal notification is executed, and the date is scheduled.

The RFC executes the same logic as the reversal function in dialog mode. So the Customizing settings for reversal can also apply to the RFC. You can define a reversal reason for the line of business in Customizing for Policy Management under In-Force Business Management -> Basis -> Business Processes -> Reversal -> Define Reversal Reason and Assign to Accounting Variant.

Enhancements

To process further data from the calling system, use the Business Add-In (BAdI) BAdI: Policy/Contract Reversal (Extension In/Out) (/PM0/ABT_SVC_CANCEL_BADI). You can use this BAdI to execute your own mapping and to fill the EXTENSIONOUT parameter.
