Functionality

You use this function module to refuse reversal requests for policies or contracts. You can refuse a reversal request with a predefined refusal reason. The function module checks the status and refuses the reversal request. If the refusal is successful, the system shows the reversal request status Refused.

If the refusal is successful, the system returns the following data:

• List of error and status messages (parameter ET_MESSAGES)

• Reversal request number (parameter EV_APPLICATION_NUMBER)

• Policy number (parameter EV_POLICYNR). If the refusal is not successful, no policy number is returned.

The function module uses the same logic as background processing. The function module also executes the customer-specific adjustments on this refusal run. No other enhancement options are provided with the function module.

You define a refusal reason for the line of business in Customizing for Policy Management under In-Force Business Management -> Basis -> Business Processes -> Application -> Define Refusal Reasons.
