/PM0/ALT_SVC_FND_READ - Read Fund

Functionality

You can use this function module to read fund information on the basis of the fund number. Optionally, you can enter the effective date to get the historical version on a time basis. If you do not enter an effective date, the current system time is used.

The system returns the following data:

• Basic information, such as fund name, fund type, and fund status (parameter ES_FUND)

• Fund price type (parameter ET_PRCTPT)

• Fund price type group (parameter ES_FPTPGPT)

• Fund range element (parameter ET_PALCP)

• List of error and status messages (parameter ET_MESSAGE)

The system executes the same checks as for the execution of the business transaction in dialog mode.

Notes

• The function module saves the data to the database (COMMIT).

• The function module can only be called synchronously. It does not return any error messages.

• If a runtime error occurs, you can use the Retrieve service to check whether the system has updated the changes. You can call the application log with transaction SLG1.

Enhancements

To process further data from the calling system, use the Business Add-In (BAdI) BAdI: Read Fund (Extension In/Out) (/PM0/ALT_SVC_FND_READ_BADI). You can use this BAdI to execute your own mapping and to fill the EXTENSIONOUT parameter.
