Functionality

The function module simulates the location setup, and therefore shows what the historical stock (J_3GHBEST) would be, if the location setup were to be executed.

Use

You can also use the function module to determine the stock in the current period.

The function module is already used in the system for all types of stock information (e.g. stock lists).

Notes

The function module reads the historical stock (J_3GHBEST) and the temporary stock (J_3GTBEST) based on the selection criteria.

Both of these tables are then mixed in accordance with the removal sequence of the activity types. This means that the historical stock is converted internally into a temporary stock to allow the stock to be shown in one format. The simulated historical stock is generated from this internal temporary stock.

If you do not select temporary stock (for example, because you do not use chaotic inventory management), the function module reads and outputs the historical stock.
