/SAPTRX/EHSET_AUTO_ARCH - Automatic Archiving of Event Handler Sets

Functionality

This function module enables you to automatically archive event handler sets. The event handler set GUID and the date when the event handler set is to be archived are inserted into table /SAPTRX/ARCH_SET.

The number of days after which the event handler set can be archived is specified in the transaction fordefining residence times.

• Parameter 1: Enter the name of the auto archive parameter defined for event handler sets in the Customizing transaction mentioned above.

The event handler sets are archived using report /SAPTRX/AUTO_ARCHIVE_A0_SETS. This report archives all entries whose archive date is either the day the report runs or earlier.

Example

You want to archive event handler sets 30 days after an event has occurred. You use this function module in your rule set and schedule report /SAPTRX/AUTO_ARCHIVE_A0_SETS.

Notes

The event handler sets must all be inactive.

In the case of multiple event handler sets, all the event handler sets to which the event handler belongs are archived along with all their event handlers.

Event handler set archiving does not work in simulation mode.

To deactivate event handler sets, you can use activity EHSET_SET_INACTIVE.
