Functionality

This function module updates any shipment deadline in the SAP R/3 shipment. This function is available as of SAP EM 4.0 with SAP Plug-In 2003.1.

This function module can only be used in rule activities.

  • Parameter-1: Enter the corresponding shipment status, if you are updating a shipment date which is not an expected event (no GUID available).
  • 1 - Execution Date for Planning

  • 2 - Check In

  • 3 - Loading Begin

  • 4 - Loading End

  • 5 - Shipment Completion

  • 6 - Shipment Start

  • 7 - Shipment End

If you update the shipment from the corresponding expected event (GUID exists), you do not need to set up this field.

(Exception: You can update the Shipment End date once all the deliveries have arrived at the customer.)

Refer to the function module document for /SAPTRX/XEE_LE_ROAD_TRA10 (expected event extractor for the transportation visibility process).

Notes

Note that you must enter the GUID in the Item Identifier field in the expected event extractor (export parameter E_EXPEVENTDATA, field ITEMIDENT) for each event to be updated from SAP Event Management.

Function module /SAPTRX/ITEMIDENT_GET_GUID should be called to create a GUID for each item identifier in the expected event extractor. For more information, refer to the documentation on this function module.

Example using the item identifiers for the transportation visibility process (from expected event extractor)

  • Loading Start - ,,1: Shipment No., 2: Space, 3: Space, 4:'VTTK', 5: 'DALBG', 6: 'UALBG',,

  • Plant Departure - ,,1: Shipment No., 2: Space, 3: Stage of trans seq, 4:'VTTK', 5: 'DATBG', 6: 'UATBG',,
  • Arrival at Destination - 1: Shipment No., 2: Space, 3: Stage of trans seq, 4:'VTTK', 5: 'DATEN', 6: 'UATEN'
