Functionality

This function module replaces all instances of I_PATTERN in field I_FIELD with string I_REPL_STRING. The final result is contained in field E_FIELD. The complete string I_PATTERN is inserted into the field. The defined length of I_REPL_STRING is inserted into the field. The system triggers an exception, should the defined length of E_FIELD not be large enough to accept the new string. I_REPL_STRING may not contain string I_PATTERN. The system triggers an exception should this be the case.
