1. Start
An application function creates the file(s) to be transmitted in the
start file space and initiates a send request with details in the
send table.
The communication automaton (called up directly or periodically)
recovers the send requests, and sollicits GMX services for the
sending of files or the initiation of commands at the SEA.
The communication automaton updates the send statuses.
The Exchange pilot is able to follow the correct functioning of these
statuses.
2. Start
-----------
An application function initiates the recovery of pending messages in
the client's letterbox and returns his or her messages to the Return
table and all or some of his or her files into the return file space.
The application can analyse the return messages and initiate necessary
operations (output, updates).
