| This parameter specifies whether there should be an automatic |
| conversion of the character strings in the ABAP statement IMPORT. |
| This parameter should normally be set to 1, which means that the |
| conversion is automatic (here, conversion means the conversion |
| between the different codepages). |
| Only customers that have several character sets in their system |
| can use a special multi-NLS setting to set their parameter to 0 |
| (the conversion is then no longer automatic). |
| In more special cases, |
| the parameter can be set to 2. |
| 2 means that there is normally no conversion (as with 0), |
| except for codepage combinations which have the characters |
| A-Z, a-z, 0-9 in various places (for example, in |
| in ASCII<->EBCDIC combinations). |
