Parameter : gw/reg_lb_ip
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Short description: Define load value for specific IP adresses or
range of IP adresses.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parameter description :
-----------------------
This parameter specifies the "load" value for an IP address or for a
range of IP addresses. Instead of an IP address, you can also
a server name. The gateway then determines the associated IP address
for the server name.

Syntax: 155.56.92.48=3 155.56.91.*=2 LinuxLab=1

List of IP addresses or host names. The load is specified after the
IP address using an equal sign. The load is a weighting factor that
specifies how strong a particular server is. The higher the value,
the weaker the server.
The maximum value is 1.

For load balancing level 2 ( %%gw/reg_lb_level%% ), the system
uses the registered program with the least load.
The load is calculated as follows:
When the registered program registers at the gateway, the IP address
is used to determine what the "load" of the IP address is.
To do this, the list is searched in the order in which is was
specified by the profile parameter. This value is then added to the
"load" if this program receives a request. If the IP address is not
found, the value specified by the parameter %%gw/reg_lb_default%% is
used.

You can therefore ensure that a stronger server receives more
requests than a weaker server.

A server that registers at the gateway receives as an initial value
the highest load of all servers with the same registration ID.

For example:
gw/reg_lb_level = 2
gw/reg_lb_ip = 194.56.48.*=2 194.56.49.*=4

Servers with the IP address 194.56.48 then receive twice as many
requests as the servers 194.45.49.* and ten times as many
requests as the other servers.

You can change the list of IP addresses by dynamically changing the
value.
- If you want to change an entry from the list, simply specify the
new value as the "load".
such as 194.56.48.*=3
- If you want to remove an entry from the list, enter the value 0 as
the "load".
for example, 194.56.49.*=0 deletes the entry
- If you want to add an entry, simply specify the new IP address or
the server name.
such as LinuxLab=1

Caution : The changed values apply only for servers that newly
register at the gateway.

To display the current list, go to the gateway monitor, transaction
SMGW.
