| Number of work processes that are available only to process |
| specific tasks. These can be: |
| - Tasks within the VM Container (VMC) for which the other dialog |
| work processes are waiting and blocked (for example, during a |
| shared garbage collection). |
| - Tasks for which a reservation has previously been performed |
| The number of work processes is not however fixed for the total |
| life of the application server, but can be dynamically changed |
| by operation mode switching. |

| These "reserved" processes are of type DIA and have the status |
| reserved. They are displayed in the same way as all other processes |
| with transaction SM50. |
| |
| If you have an active Virtual Machine Container (VMC), you should |
| set up either a dynamic or a reserved process. |
