| For a DB reconnect in an environment with parallel databases, the |
| system checks whether the previous database instance is still |
| available. The system pings the server of the previous database |
| instance, if this parameter is defined. The ping is used to |
| check whether the previous database server is available. |
| The default value of rsdb/reco_ping_cmd is platform-dependent. |
| For example: rsdb/reco_ping_cmd =/etc/ping hostname 64 2 |
| In the R/3 kernel, "hostname" is replaced by the correct host name |
| of the previous database server. |
