| Setting this parameter TRUE means that the details in the statistics |
| records, specifically for the field "Max. Ext. Memory in Dialog |
| Step" are available in a resolution accurate to a single byte. |
| The semantics of the field do not change by making this setting, and |
| in particular, the unit remains "Bytes", but with greater accuracy. |
| (The resoluion is usually defined by %%es/blocksize_KB%%, by default |
| 4 MB, that is you always see the usage only as a multiple of 4 MB.) |
| |
| A side-effect of setting the parameter, depending on the relevant |
| application program, can be that performance becomes worse. |
| The parameter is therefore intended more as a diagnosis tool |
| specifically for developers who want to test the precise memory |
| usage of a particular part of a program. |
| The parameter should remain deactivated in a production system. |
