Need examples of IFS files included in BRMS online backup
I have recently started running an "online" backup using BRMS. Whenthe backup runs, several SAP background jobs cancel during the time
period when BRMS is backing up the IFS directories. I believe this
to be a result of locking errors on the directories where SAP creates
job logs. I would be interested in comparing the BRMS control groups
that other SAP users have implemented to perform an online backup of
their SAP systems, especially the IFS entries. What SAP IFS
directories do you include in your online BRMS backup and what save
while active parameters do you use for the IFS link list? ANy
comments would be appreciated. FYI, we are backing up approximately
a 200gb SAP database using a 3590 E11 drive. It is taking
approximately us about 3 hours to backup the database plus several
smaller libraries.
