GO Live Stress Test
Group,I am looking for some information on doing a stress test on our production
AS400. We are working on the stress test CATT catalogs and the stress
scenarios, but am looking for confirmation on doing the actual test
scenarios on the production AS400. Let me know if there are steps that I am
missing or if this approach is even advisable and if not how do I go about
this.
1. Take full backup of production after R/3 install and hot packages
applied.
2. Transport all production transports to the production AS400. SID (PR1)

3. Open up system for manual configuration.
4. Execute Data Loads.
5. Take full backup.
6. Install a Stress test SID (ST5) Instance (50) from the R3PR1DATA library
from backup in step 5 using R3SETUP with parameter (-f dbr3cp.r3s).
7. Execute stress test.
8. Delete SID (ST5) Instance (50).
