Online backup of SAP directories using BRMS
Hello Russ, when you are using an IFS backup, you may leave out the following
directories from IFS as they don't contain data that is necessary when you
restarta SAP system after crash:
/sapmnt/<SID>/global (include this for each SID in the system you
are backing up)
/usr/sap/tmp
/usr/sap/<SID>/dvebmgsNN/log (include this for each SID in the system you
are backing up)
/usr/sap/<SID>/dvebmgsNN/work (include this for each SID in the system you
are backing up)
/usr/sap/<SID>/sys/global
Please keep in mind that you have to create these directories before
starting SAP when they don't exist after your restore!
