TempStg Explosion (was: What is Temporary Storage Explanation )
We use Management Central and the 'Disk Utilization' monitors. These monitors
run on a PC and send both an audible and visible warning when the threshold has
been exceeded. If you have Client Access, you should have the Management
Central software.

Have you thought of monitoring the QSYSMSG msgq?
A message CPI0953 would be sent there when your disk
space threshold is passed.
A simple CL program could monitor for the message and
keep track of the number of times the message was
received and do different processing each time.
