OS400 upgrade to V4R5
Hi Bernd,Thanks for suggesting note 66985. Unfortunately it seams I have to go
through this process again when I upgrade my production box. I was
hoping that it was some thing I did or did not do during the upgrade
that caused the disappearance of the views. Then I could have corrected
my upgrade procedures to avoid the situation on my production system.

If I remember correctly it had to do with QADBIFLD not correctly being
converted during the upgrade. The file was deleted, and an empty 4.4
restored in its place (in our case 4.3 -> 4.4 upgrade).

Hi,
SYSTABLES and other 7 views were missing from the R3 data library after
my upgrade of OS400 from
V4R3 to V4R5 last Thursday. I used Note 66985 to recreate the views and
run RCLSTG *DBXREF and
it looks the problem is solved. Many thanks to all of you who responded
to my question. Special
thanks to the person who suggested note 66985. This group is wonderful.
The status of the work processes as seen in WRKACTJOB on the OS side is
SEMW. I expected to see
DEQW. Is this a change made in V4R5 or is it an error? Any idea why the
views disappeared during
the OS400 upgrade?

Hi,
do you have still your problem with the R3 system and the systables ?
I would suspect that either in R3SIDDATA or in QSYS2 the LF SYSTABLES is
missing. Then you should open an OSS messge, so that we can handle this
problem.
