DP90 very slow after OS400 upgrade

Hi Russ,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I am on V4R5 and DB fix #9 and DP90
is about 20 times slower than usual. I
opened PMR 38093B122 with IBM about this problem. Can you
let me know your PMR number with IBM. It might help the
guys at IBM to work together on the problem.

Thanks
Berhanu

Hi Berhanu and Volker,

Yesterday we opened a very high issue on the DP90 transaction due to
poor performance. Our application folks stated that they did some
DP90s a month ago and they were ok. Since that time we had put on
the latest CUM CD and PTFs in the info APAR. We are on V4R5 and have
been there for some time. It appears that after I put on the latest
maintenance, DP90 will no longer execute in our environment. I
traced the statement down to a select in function module
AD15_covp_read_multi. The program is doing a select on the view
COVP. SAP Germany created a new note 438184 that we applied today.
This note allowed the program to execute although it still is very
slow in our environment. I am still bothered that before the
maintenance this transaction ran ok.

Kind regards,
Russ Cook
