SQL Package library R3sidNSAP0

Hi,
I use another procedure to delete the SQLPKGes after OS upgrade instead of
DLTR3PKG because of
performance advantages. DLTR3PKG runtime = 0.45 Minutes, the following
procdure: 0.20 Minutes.
I saw R3<sid>NSAPO the first time in August and as of Volkers advice I
deleted it, it was empty.
Now it takes place in the following procedure.

Delete SQLPKG: (Signon as QSECOFR):

1. STRPDM
2. Option 1 ( = work with libraries )
3. Library:: R3<sid>*
4. F17
5. Library............ R3<sid>*:
6. Library-type..... *ALL
7. Text................ R/3 SQL
8. Type in 4 in the first line ( = delete )
9. press F13 ( = repeat )
10. Enter
11. press F19 ( = Submit to Batch )
12. WRKJOBQ QBATCH
13. Type in 2 ( = CHGJOB ) in the entry-line type in JOBQ(QSYSNOMAX)
14. Enter
15. STRPDM
16. Option 1 ( = work with libraries )
17. Library: R3<sid>*
18. Type in 4 at library R3<sid>X0000, R3<sid>NSAP0 ( = delete )
19. Enter
20. press F19 ( = Submit to Batch)
21. If all jobs are completed, the following libraryies must remain:

R3<sid>DATA, R3<sid>JRN, R3<sid>OPT,R3<sid>400

Hi Volker,

I think you are a bit confused. It works here exactly as at your site. All
packages are deleted, the libraries stay empty behind. I only referred to
Karl
Grauer's question, the library R3<sid>NSAP0. I am not sure whether packages
are
deleted in that library and you stated earlier that DLTR3PKG does not touch
that
library.

What I do now, to be on the save site, I use DLTR3PKG and then I have a look
whether there are still packages in one of the <sid> libraries which I
delete.
Of course, that's automated.

Regards & Gruss .. Kurt

Hi Kurt,

I made some tests with 4.6x. There it seems to work fine. We don't delete
the SQL-Pack-Libs any moore, we only delete all the SQL-packs insite and
this worked correct in my test.

Is this different on your site?

Thanks

Volker
