Accessing NT-Server from SAP via QNTC ??

Hi group,

has anyone of you ever managed to access a NT-server from SAP via QNTC?? If
yes, what userprofile do you use a what are it's authorizations on NT? What
are your settings at the NT side?

We have an application running on our TST machine, where a batch process
writes data on a NT-server using QNTC and user SAPnn with it's default
password. But we fear this isn't a safe way, because anybody who knows (or
finds out) about the SAPnn defaults could logon to the NT server and do
weird things.

On iSeries a disabled user can submit batch jobs, but is unable to logon for
dialog activities. As far as we know, NT doesn't provide this feature.

So we thought it could be a good idea to logon from the SAP application with
a entire different userprofile. We don't dare to change the SAPnn profile on
the iSeries because this would most certainly cause severe problems in the
whole SAP system. So we stored some authentification-records for that
specific NT-server under SAPnn's user-profile using OpsNav, but that didn't
help much. Trying to access QNTC path ended up in error CPDB053.

Any good ideas out there???

Thanks for any input
