Opload from frontend to AS/400
Hi Volker,
I would like to use the net too, but for me it's so slow. Yesterday it took
nearly an hour to get to the kernel patches, and once there I found 7 or 8 or
more which are virtually the same. I am confused which one to download. Back to
sapserv6 the directory R3server disappeared again. How can I win with SAP ???

Hi Susanne,
you can either download the patches via sapservX (outdated, because it will
be stopped soon) or (better) download them via the SAP-Service-Marketplace
via http://service.sap.com to your PC. Then you would have to create a SAVF
on AS/400 as follows:
crtsavf qgpl/kernel
Then you can use ftp from your PC to the AS/400 and transfer the file in
binary mode into this SAVF.
Then you can apply the patch as you are used to with APYR3FIX ( with
GETSAVF(*NO) ):
APYR3FIX SID(<SID>) SAVF(QGPL/KERNEL) SAVLIB(GEN46DEOPT)
KRNLIB(*CURRENT / <other lib>) GETSAVF(*NO)
