Subject: RFC Call/Exception : System_Failure

Dear all,

Does anyone has experience with this .

Problem description :

- Yesterday evening hardware errror (disk full) caused system down and
unattended IPL.
- Disk error is recovered.
- At startup of the SAP development environment the error message as des
cribed above is received.
- If we do press enter as shown in the message, the system startup conti
nues.
- However we do notice (wrkactjob) that in several work processes of the
subsystem R3_01 the index D020L is running. (this function is running f
or over 12 hours now)
- At startup of the SAPGUI for accessing our development environment the
SAP-Logo appears as usual however it takes longer then normal.
- Secondly we do get the logonscreen although no input fields for client
, user, password en language apprears. At the status bar of the screen t
he following message is shown: "Database interface reported an error dur
ing read a". (
zie printscreen)

Error message :
RFC Call/Exception : System_Failure
Group : Error Group 104
Key : RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILLURE
Message : Database interface reported an error during read a

Press Enter to end terminal session
