The front.ini file you talk about is in the WINNT directory on my pc.The Alviewer is no longer offically supported. I would install the viewer
from the 40B presentation CD. Run /GUI/WINDOWS/WIN32/SAPSETUP.
Make sure Sap Archive Link is checked.
I would assume that will put the front.ini file on your pc.
