Problem with writing to trace file

Hi group,
I have a "weird" problem on our DEV system (4.0B, kernel 868, SP 67,
4.5.0).
I start a SQL trace for a certain user. I process my transaction then
I end the trace and want to display it.
Well, I get a message "No SQL trace records available".
I did not get any error messages, I checked with SU53 that the user
had proper authority (even used one with SAP_ALL), I checked the
trace file in IFS for proper owner (it's owned by the SAPnn for the
instance I use).
I also checked ST01 and compared it with my Test system (where
everything works just fine). I used the same values in both systems.
The instance profiles both have rdsp/TRACE = 1.
Is there something I'm missing or can check on top of the above? I
just run out of options.
