Parameter rec/client

Luc,

it just depends on your security-policy, there is no law that forces you to
switch table-logging on.
Setting this parameter on is only the first step, if you want to use table-
logging. You also have to define which table(s) you want to monitor for
changes (with transaction SE13).
If you have many changes on a certain table that is logged, this will have
an
impact on the performance of your system.
A more detailed description can be found in the SAP Security Guide that is
available as a PDF-document on the SAP Service Marketplace.

BTW: we don't use table-logging.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Betreff: Parameter rec/client

Hello,

Our German auditors have asked me to change rec/client from OFF to nnn
(mandant
number). It seems to be an obligatory setting in Germany. Can someone from
Germany confirm this? If hou have set this parameter was there an impact on
the
database growth?

Thanks,

Luc
