SAPRouter & Secure Network Communication

Narrowing down, only a SAPRouter active is enough to permit users to
connect to OSS and also SAP Consultants be able to connect to customer R/3.
How do you know if the connection is fine before trying in using the
SAPGUI. By doing a ping from the customer saprouter to sapserv4 o to the
external IP address from SAP saprouter which is connected to SAPSERV4?
Which them? Any hint to let me know that the OSS connection is already
established is greatly appreciated.

Subject: Re: SAPRouter & Secure Network Communication

Hello,

---
I have a doubt about if it is necessary to install and activate the SNC
software component on the saprouter server in order to connect to OSS and
viceversa. The SAPRouter software alone is enough to connect to OSS00x from
sapserv4. Which Number of the application server OSS00n I must use to
connect from Perú to sapserv4? The customer does not use VPN and prefer to
use SAPRouter but the recent documentation says it is necesary to install
SNC and get the certifications of regulations of exportation.  Look forward
in knowing your comments.  Thank you

It is certainly possible over a so-called OSS-connection. However, SAP is
pushing the new mechanisms such as SNC.

"SAP OSS-connection" is a service that is offered by several ISPs - such as
AT&T Global Networks.
