Connection trough OSS

Mick, Kurt,

Basically, I think you need to change the technical setting for OSS message
server to OSS002. Check out note 60856. Since implementing it, we can use
the OSS1 transaction but periodically have to change the technical settings
if we have TCC reports or something. However, I discourage people from doing
this since I greatly prefer method 2, access from the SAPlogon. It seems
marginally faster and if my instance is down (for backups or hot packs,
etc.), I can still get to OSS. This config is also described in 60856 and
there are some decent diagnostic tips in 24177 and a couple other notes.

Hi Mick,

we had that problem years ago. SAP told us that due to constraints with the
AS/400 OSS can not be accessed from within the SAPGUI, instead we should use
the
SAPLogon pad. That works perfectly and OSS1 is disabled in all of our
systems.

Hope that helps.
