tp returncode 0219

Hi Volker,
thanks for the advice for applying new kernel patches.
When I go with wrklnk (as QSECOFR) --> sapmnt/trans/bin all authorisation
are correct, but directory bin
and all the other sub-directories (cofiles, data, buffer) are empty.

When I go with wrklnk (as SIDofr) --> usr/sap/trans/bin, trans and bin have
no authorisation but the tpparam file
is in the bin-directory and all other sub-directories are having their files
in it.
I'm going mad. What has changed ? I don't know. I have no idea.

Karl

Sorry Karl,

but I think, there is something mixed up!

If you do an APYR3FIX and get the message, that not all PTFs were applied,
this is done completely at the end of the patch. That means, the kernel is
installed then.
It is NEVER useful, to install an old version of the kernel after this!!!
SAP doesn't program after the PTFs of IBM, so even if there are PTFs
missing, the new kernel is better then the old one. You only should order
the new ones and install them soon. They are missing for the old kernel in
the SAME way!!!

Autorities lost:
"Not supported" means here, that you can't maintain authorities via
/qfilesvr.400 links. You should go there directly and if you are already
locally, you should use /sapmnt/trans instead.
What has changed? I don't know. But you should fix it and it is not caused
because of RSTLIB of the kernel.

Regards

Volker
