DIA vs BTC Performance

According to your stats this is my observance.....

The first time after building an index and running a program it will always run
the longest due to building access path / SQL package / buffers (see Run 2 below
- 10 minutes)

Run 3 - 10 seconds in BTC should have nothing to do with BTC vs. DIA - Did you
try to run it again in DIA? If yes, you should have seen a 10 second response
time; since sql packages and access paths were built from

Run 4 - 10 seconds (after bringing down SAP)

Run 3 & 4 were both consistently 10 seconds

You always want to run a program at least 2x after building an index before you
can determine/observe its "true runtime"

Run 1 - 30 minutes arrival sequence
Build Index
Run 2 - 10 minutes in DIA
Run 3 - 10 seconds in BTC
? Why faster in BTC?
Bring down SAP
Run 4 - 10 seconds in DIA
? Why faster after bring down SAP

Hi, after bringing down R3 on Sunday, the report now takes only
about 10s to run.

Does this mean I can expect the run time to increase over time?
