SAP BW on AS/400
Hi Amorin,you talked to a collegue of mine. We discussed this issue and decided, that
we don't want to support this any more, because V4R4 went out of IBM
maintainance more than 1/2 a year ago. So, officially SAP and IBM don't
support this any more. As we know, that there are a lot of problems
(function + performance) in BW with V4R4, I can only tell you:
Don't do it, if you don't want to upgrade to V5R1 or at least V4R5 first.
Because as soon as you open an OSS ticket, we will tell you, that you would
have to upgrade the OS because IBM won't fix any issues any more.
As my collegue told me, that it would be a budget problem to get to the next
release, I can only tell you as well: We won't support BW on V4R4 any more!
(Even when it was still possible to install it from the CDs)
