How much time takes STROBJCVN?
Hi Andre,we did the upgrade from 4.5 to 5.1 on our DEV/TST machine 2 weeks ago. It is
a model S40 with 12 processors.
At the time of upgrade we had 6 R/3-systems with different sizes on the
machine, some of them 3.1i, some 4.0b.
We scheduled the STROBJCVN jobs for all 6 systems to run parallel over
night, which worked perfect. The runtimes varied from 4-5 hrs for the
smaller databases (size appr. 15 Gb) up to a max. of 7 hrs for the big ones
(size appr. 600 Gb). Obviously the db-size does not have too much impact on
the runtime. I wonder if the runtime for each job would have been increased
if we had run them one after the other?

Hello all!
I will upgrade to V5R1 and I saw some OSS notes about this and found
other cases here, at SAP on iSeries.
I would like to know how much time takes STROBJCVN command, actually
I have aproximately 80GB on R3<SID>DATA. I read on a message from
Mr.
Volker Gueldenpfennig which in a customer it took about 40 minutes.
Are there any other tips about upgrade? Thanks for all!
