ASPs

Jay:

Use ASP2 for both BW and SEM should be enough for your configuration as long
as ASP2 is big enough to hold all journal receivers. The idea of separating
ASPx from system ASP is to provide protection in case of disk corrupt. I
can't see the point of using ASP3 here.

Hi SAP on System i,

We plan to run production instances of BW and SEM in one partition. Is it
recommended to have a separate journal receiver ASP for each SAP instance,
that is system ASP, ASP2 (BW) and ASP3 (SEM) or is it enough that BW and SEM
would share one ASP for journalling?

Thanks,

Jay Ochse
