CPI1466 during Backup

Hi Jim,

haven't heard about such things, but sounds really interesting. But if you
use just one lib, that *SYNCLIB doesn't matter at all, but if you use
several R3SIDDATAs it may come to problems when using *SYNCLIB - and it is
totally useless, because you can't do anything with 2 independednt SAP
systems backuped at the same time (except you try to use MCOD).

Regards

Volker

Volker: during our early testing, we found that we could get our checkpoint
more quickly using *SYNCLIB than *LIB, even when saving only one library.
Is that no longer true, or did we come to the wrong conclusion from our
testing?

Hi Peter,

that's quite normal, but you only need to change the SAVLIB command as I
described or the BRMD control group from *SYNCLIB to *LIB, then everything
is fine.
SAVLIB SAVACT(*SYNCLIB)
=>
SAVLIB SAVACT(*LIB)

Volker
