Message server service sapmsD01 not defined

Hi Matt,

first, be aware, that this homogenious systemcopy you did is absoultely NOT
supported at all!!!

You have to go to WRKSRVTBLE and add the service sapmsD01 with port 36nn
(nn=instance) and protocol tcp . Then this will disappear.

Probably this SAP system is NOT the first one on this iSeries, because
otherwise I think a lot more TCP/IP ports would miss, but check at least the
following:
wrkrpyle
3201 CPA32B2 I *NONE

Otherwise you will receive problems during SPs, upgrades or other
transports.

I think, I would strongly recommend CRTR3SYS and CRTR3INST on this box with
the appropiate values.

Regards

Volker

Subject: Message server service sapmsD01 not defined

Hi

I just copied a dev (D01) system from machine xxxxLE1 to machine
xxxxLE3.
I copied over the SAP libraries and IFS files and the system starts
fine. It looks OK but when I run transaction SICK I get the message
"Message server service sapmsD01 not defined".

I have checked the profiles several times and changed all the
xxxxLE1's to xxxxLE3's but can not see where the problem is. I know I
have missed something out somewhere.

Any ideas gang ?
