How to change i-Series system serial number?

Thanks! This seems like just the resource I am looking for. I am having a
problem getting to this site, do you know if there
are issues with the site being down (....could just be my company network).
Have you actually used the technique/program(s) mentioned in the chapter?

Hi, You might be interested in Leif's "AS/400 Machine-Level Programming"
which has a chapter on changing the serial number. Of course one shouldn't
play around with this, especially on a production server. Apart from that
the book has some very interesting as/400 information and rare
documentation
on MI programming.
