Printing multiple copies from sap only
John,If you printer loses it connection to the AS400 and then reconnects, SAP
starts the print job over from the beginning. We were having this problem
with our check printers with the job printing about 300 checks out of 600
and then restart the job over from check# 1 when the communication line
dropped and then reconncected. It sounds like you need to look at the
TIMEOUT parm for the printer. We reset ours to 300 (seconds) for our XEROX
laser jets. We do have a couple of other printers that we reset to 0 which
I believe says wait indefinitely for a job without disconnecting.

Hello everybody,
The problem that we are having is that at some of our remote
sites when printing in sap only people are receieving multiple copies
from the printer even when they only choose one copy in the as/400
wrkjob log we get the message: remote host system closed connection
unexpectedly. then the next line is: send request failed for spooled
file in qsysprt. For every message we get a print out until the log
says: spooled file qsysprt sent. Has anyone see or heard of this and
how do I resolve this issue.
