Subject: SAP iSeries Codepage Conversion Class - UABC92

Hi all,

we just finished the class material for a codepage conversion class for
iSeries from EBCDIC to ASCII. I will teach the first classes.

We are thinking about the locations for teaching this class worldwide.
We thought about: (10-30 pupils per training)
- Walldorf, Germany (about 2 for this year)
- Newtown Square, Pennsylvania (1-2 for this year)
- Australia or Singapore ? (?) (Sorry about Australia: But, if enough people
are interested, we will setup a class there as well!)

What do you think about this and how many people would be interested in the
classes ? When would be the best dates or months ?

UABC92: SAP iSeries Codepage Conversion Class
Content:
- R/3 on iSeries - EBCDIC and ASCII
- Why Codepage-Conversion to ASCII ?
- Effects of a Codepage Conversion (e.g. special EBCDIC-ASCII-issues)
- SAP Codepage Conversion service
- Requirements for Codepage Conversion
- Codepage Conversion process (Enrolement, project, approval, hardware
procurement, remote, access, ...)
- Codepage Conversion tools
- CodepageConversion - preparation
- Demonstration of a Codepage Conversion

Requirements:
- R/3 base knowledge
- iSeries knowledge (at the beginning of the class there will be "checked"
if you ever saw R3 base and iSeries! So, be prepared!)

Duration: 1,5 days

You will learn on the class UABC92 how to convert your SAP system best from
EBCDIC to ASCII. You can either join the class yourself, if you do have
knowledge in the SAP base and on iSeries or you would hire a consultant to
do it for you.

Regards

Volker
