Kernel CD release dependent?

I restored the savefile without problem but get problem i next step then I
start to install configurations files for central instance. Unable to open
usr/sap/trans/sapconf file and it says also Unable to add QN2 (the new SAP
id) to the R3 install config file.
For sure this config file isn't restored and I guess it should be there if
the lodrun command have run to normal end??
Probably it's faster to install V4R5 install the SAP system and then to a
release upgrade to V5R1 compared to order a new CD from SAP. It can take up
to a week before it's delivered.

Yes I saw the savfile and I have already restore it to R3QTEMP. I will do
it to R3INSTALL tomorrow. Thanks for the help late Friday.

then you will have a savf as well. you should restore the savf to the lib
r3install as well. then it should be ok.

It says just enter to terminate session. I checked just what are installed
and lib R3INSTALL is restored with 5 objects.

yes it is release dependent.
Does it crash, or is it just a warning ?
The question would be if everything was reloaded or not.

Hi all of you.
I'm trying to install a one more R3 system 40B (will do a system copy)
using LODRUN dir'/OS400/AS400'
After some decompress of three files it's ends up in Could not open file
/QOPT/CD51006564/OS400/AS400/V5R1M0/INFOAPAR.510
Are this installation CD:s OS400 release dependent? Then we install it we
had V4R5.
Do anyone know??
