High temporary Storage consumption
Hi,if the WP on the appl-server ends, the QXDARECVR will end as well.
If this is an error, if you are having several NT-appl-servers I don't know,
because QXDARECVR jobs need some space.
But, at least it sounds, that there is something worse since V5R1 and currently
I would adress this to IBM first.

I have the parameter rdisp/wp_auto_restart set to 86400 (24 hours). The
thing is that I have a 3tier environment wit the iSeries as DB server and 3
xSeries as App servers. I haven't set that parameter in the App servers (I
will) but I think that when a WP dies in an app server the correspondent
QXDARECVR process in the iSeries is not ended, so the temporary space is not
recalled.
Volker, if I'm correct do you think it's an IBM problem?

Maybe you already executed the command dsptmpstg. If not you can use this to
see whether it is all the wp's which have a high consumption or only a few.
If your wp's have high consumption one short term solution could be to
restart the wp's regularly. I think there is still a profile parameter which
can do that. At least this could prevent you from having to restart the
system

We are on 46C (kernel 46D) and OS400 V5R1. Our actual temporary storage is
about 73Gb and we started SAP on 01/15/2003. We have to stop SAP because we
are running out of disk space.
