Post OS Upgrade Questions
Hi Gang,I am upgrading my DEV/TST iSeries OS this weekend but won't be upgrading my
PRD iSeries OS until March 8th. What I am wondering is how safe is it to do
transports from one sytem that is on one operating system level and import
those transports to a system that is on a lower operating system level; ie.
importing new programs/tables from V5R1 (DEV) to V4R5 (PRD)?
Also, we planned on refreshing our TST instance with PRD data by doing a
save/restore and I am wondering if we would be able to do this since our TST
system resides on an iSeries that would be at V5R1 and our PRD system would
still be on V4R5? All help is greatly appreciated!!
