You may want to double check which GW instance you are truly going out
and make sure can ping from there

We have installed SXC 1.54 on our test exchange server and set up an RFC
connection in R/3, following the installation guide for the software. We
can
ping and trace route the IP address and domain name from the AS400's and
the
domain server but from the RFC connection Gateway, our 'Test
Connection'
fails in R/3 with:
ERROR partner not reached (host xxxxxxxx.xxxxxxxx, sevice
sapgw00)
LOCATION SAP-Gateway on host xxxxxxxx.xxxx.com / sapgw01

CALL SO_ERROR
COMPONENT NI (network interface)

ERROR TEXT A remote host refused an attempted connect
operation.
ERROR NUMBER 3425
I can see from SMGW the connections start, but the connection test still
fails. I have looked at the relevant notes in OSS for Exchange
connectivity
and everything seems to be in order. Does anyone have any suggestions
for us
to try?
