Hi Chris,it is very good, that you are looking into the ONLY RIGHT DIRECTION!
I think, we should setup an appl-server instance on your 24-way together in
solving this issue, because I do see, that this won't work anymore.
Now, that you explain, that you drive your users more and more up, I begin to
understand, why this problem happens just now. So, we won't have a different way
out before your upgrade to 4.6X of this problem.

Hi All,
We are currently running a 2-tier enviroment and due to the
amount of users (currently 3500 rising to around 5000 of which 1000
users will be concurrent) we are looking at potentialy putting a
application server on to make it 3 tier as there is a limitaion with
3.1I on number of work processes you can have, we are getting more
and more issues with the system freezing for short periods this
coincides with all the dialog wps being in use, we are also getting
the system log message "No free memory available in class PERM" and
wonder if this is anything to do with it, we have a 840 24 way with
40 gb of memory with a DB size of 570gb and are looking at putting
the app server on the same machine, is it as easy as following the
dialog installation procedure or are there other pitfalls we may
encounter, or is there another solution ?
