Archiving to IFS
I have some questions that users who have implemented archiving maybe able to advise.
We are planning to archive to IFS and save to tape. Next year we will
consider adding optical device. Is there any issue with this strategy.
If we do an ASCII conversion after starting archiving will the IFS
files before and after the conversion be usable.
If we do a platform change after starting archiving can the ifs files
be transferred to a new platform.
