Upgrade of BW 2.1c to 3.0B or 3.1
Hi, I just finished an upgrade from 2.1C to 3.0B this week. Wehn I did it thefirst time on our sandbox I had a some problems/errors, but now when I used the
latest versions of the different kernel programs and the two os users had enough
autorisation I only had once where I needed to delete SQL packages during the
upgrade.
I spoke to SAP end of December whether to upgrade to 3.0B or 3.1 and they
actaully recommended 3.1 since, as they said, "the upgrade is easier and it is a
later version". Since 3.1 was only "general available" from the same week I
spoke to SAP and we didn't have enough time to test it we decided to go for
3.0B.
If you decide to go for a 3.0B upgrade I can send you the installation document
we created.

We are in the initial stages of planning an upgrade of
our BW 2.1C instance. Has anyone out there upgraded
their systems successfully and do you have anything to
share about your upgrade experiences.
I see that BW 3.1 is out. Which would be the better
choice. Upgrading to 3.0B or 3.1.
