Application Server

We have just ordered SAP V4.6c2 to install on an AS/400. We are looking at the
iSeries 825 CPW 3600-6600. It has a 3way expandable to 6.

We are going to setup (LPAR) the processors 1/2 to development, 1/2 to test, 2
for production. We have 4gb ram. 330gb disk storage.

I would like to get front end X-series boxes. Would I need 3 and if so what
size? Is this a good approach to use the AS400 as a DB server?

Help!

We did an Application Server installation we used X-series running Windows
2000 operating system and when I tried to start the server I received this
message "couldn't load the library". Before the installation I downloaded
the XDA and applied on the server. I have the same kernel as my Dev system
and the DEV system works fine.

Iseries System Information:
Operating System: OS/400 V5R1M0
Database: DB2/400
Kernel: 46D (ASCII)
Patch #: 1330
APO release: 3.10


Xseries System Information:
Operating System: Windows 2000
Kernel: 46D
Patch #: 1364
