SAP DownLoad Manager from within intranet/The following exception occurred: null
I use the SAP DLM to download hot-packages and other stuff from theSAP Service MarketPlace (http://service.sap.com aka SAPnet).
I cannot do that anymore from within the corporate intranet. (It used
to be possible - I have done it a couple of months ago.)
Yesterday evening I downloaded at home (ADSL - direct Internet
connection - no proxy-server) - that went O.K..
In the past I have done this from within the intranet (through the
corporate firewall/proxy-servers).
Is there anything that I could change on the set-up on my laptop
computer? (SAP DLM settings, TCP/IP settings, ...)
Has anyone else run into this problem?
Are there work-arounds or solutions (apart from downloading at home)?
I have tried this with the new version of SAP DLM - 2.1.129
(but also with the older version 2.1.128).
The symptom is:
It starts, it gets redirected, it connects to a websmp server and then
it says:
The basket content could not be read. The following exception
occurred: null
I have checked OSS-note 401195 - that is not the problem. My proxy
config is O.K. (same config as previously). My JRE is O.K. (same JRE
as previously, I think - 1.4.0_02 ).
I have filed an OSS-message, but I think Walldorf is still recovering
from Carnival... .
On the other hand, I won't bother the guardians of the corporate
firewall/proxy-server (they are not familiar with SAP).
(Excuse me for asking something that is not really iSeries-related.
BTW: SAP DLM is a Java application. You should be able to run it on
OS/400. Has anybody ever tried that?)
